We javascript developers love npm. Github recently announced to acquire npm but wait ! what is going to change with this acquisition? Nat Friedman in his blog post stated that they will be supporting npm infrastructure and the developers using npm pro, he also stated that GitHub will be investing in npm making it fast, and scalable.
I think this would help not only npm but also Github. Github announced its packages service which hosts software packages. working closely with npm makes its service efficient. GitHub earns from Enterprise and private packages that are hosted on Github packages.
For npm, it has to go to some improvements. for example, it should improve its speed just like what yarn is doing currently.
Let's see in the future, what this acquisition could impact in the developer ecosystem.
